Resource Manager - Dark Mofo

The team behind Dark Mofo (DarkLab) is seeking an experienced Resource Manager to oversee the recruitment of all festival staff, training, rosters and general staffing coordination between various projects and requirements. This role will require you to work in consultation with the Executive Producer and Senior Producer.

The Gig:

  • Implement process to contract and onboard short term festival resources 
  • Design and implement induction of short term festival resources ensuring they understand key policies, platforms and role holders
  • Implement key upskilling training sessions of festival resources    
  • Support managers to estimate key logistics and coordination resources (i.e within project teams, logistics teams, etc) ensuring that resources are deployed efficiently across teams where possible  
  • Support the recruitment of short term logistics and coordination resources after approvals sought within time and budget
  • Manage offboarding of short term festival resources 
  • Roster fly teams and implement system to deploy fly crew in response to management requests 
  • Implement process to ensure accurate payment for short term resources
  • Work cooperatively with FoH management to develop resourcing plan according to art and music program and venues 
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and briefings of FoH resources via efficient systems with timelines 
  • Be a point of escalation for FoH Supervisors throughout festival ensuring all operational information is circulated effectively and efficiently 

The You:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
  • Working knowledge of G-Suite applications, particularly Google Drive and Gmail 
  • Experience working with events and festivals
  • Ability to plan and manage timelines efficiently
  • Solid work ethic and able to work flexible hours
  • Ability to simultaneously coordinate numerous projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity with confidential information
  • Collaborative and flexible approach to problem solving and information sharing 
  • Organised, efficient and calm
