Mona employs a diverse group of individuals across a broad range of industries, we're talking hospitality, wine and beer production, festivals, museum technicians, support services...  There's even a bit of art.  The organisation constantly evolves and we are always developing new spaces and experiences.  With that in mind, we are seeking an experienced and action-ready People & Culture Business Partner to support the people needs of a varied group of employees.

You will work collaboratively with the P&C team and business leaders to support the strategic and operational people needs of a dedicated client group, and lead people & culture portfolios. Ideally, you will be an experienced generalist with the capability to develop and implement best-fit frameworks in all technical P&C areas, including employee relations and compliance, talent development, performance management and organisational design. We love a creative twist and, while we're always aiming for a ‘best practice’ process, you'll have the opportunity to use your curiosity and experience, applying it to suit the unique needs of the stakeholders.

THE GIG

  • Leading complex workplace investigations involves independently conducting thorough investigations into sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring compliance and achieving fair outcomes.
  • Providing expert industrial relations advice entails utilising your deep understanding of Australian workplace relations and modern awards (Hospitality & Amusement a plus) to support leaders and navigate complex situations.
  • Contributing to organisational design and development means playing a key role in analysing and optimising our organisational structures to support Mona's growth and strategic goals.
  • Support members of the People & Culture team, sense check advice and enable development opportunities that contribute to the consistent delivery of P&C initiatives and standards.
  • Build relationships and provide operational and strategic P&C advice and coaching to leaders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and identify opportunities to share resourcing, knowledge, and solutions to common people challenges.
  • Enable the adoption of workforce strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures to meet organisational needs across the employment lifecycle
  • Identify and participate in development opportunities that contribute to the consistent delivery and continuous improvement of P&C strategies and initiatives
  • Can perform operational activities efficiently and with a high level of accuracy while remaining aware of the impact on strategic objectives and organisational precedent.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures as well as the management of compliance obligations including Awards and legislative changes
  • Utilise data to provide insights that inform decision making and contribute to quality people outcomes

THE YOU 

  • Confident and experienced business partner capable of providing sound advice and coaching to leaders at all levels
  • Experience that spans multiple industries and has a variety of stakeholders. Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with a broad range of personality types and flex your style accordingly.
  • Knowledgeable with practical experience applying Australian workplace relations and laws, including experience working with modern Awards (Hospitality and Amusement ideal).
  • Comfortable facilitating to small and large groups of employees eg onboarding program, engagement action planning
  • Highly organised with a methodical approach to prioritising workload so you can adapt to a diverse group of stakeholders that have varied surge periods.
  • A resilient, calm and friendly work style with a willingness to apply creativity where appropriate.
