Moorilla Wine Bar Supervisor
Permanent Part Time, approximately 30.4 hours per week (negotiable)

Do you want to work at one of Tasmania’s most exciting Hospitality and Tourism destinations? Moorilla Wine Bar is looking for a Bar Supervisor to join our leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Moorilla Wine Bar Manager, you will take charge of the Wine Bar's daily operations, ensuring high standards of service and team performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a deep understanding of team management. You will be responsible for overseeing the bar and floor staff, helping maintain and improve Mona’s sustainability, controlling stock levels, and ensuring compliance with RSA regulations. 

The successful applicant will need to be available to work across all current operating days: Thursday (in Summer), Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The gig:

  • Lead and supervise the Wine Bar team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Wine Bar during service hours.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and support to new and existing staff members.
  • Collaborate with the management team to improve service and operations.

The you:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a bar or similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • An eye for detail and a continual drive for development and improvement
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be available for weekends and public holidays, and the occasional night shift.
  • Valid RSA certification is required.
