Moo Brew has opened its own taphouse, nano-brewery and luxury dive bar in Salamanca, and we’re looking for candidates for a variety of Front of House roles. We want a passionate Hobart hospo crew to join our team, bringing with them their energy and personality to help drive the vibe at what we think is the most interesting taphouse in Tassie: the kind of bar we want to drink and eat in.
There is a range of casual opportunities for bartenders and supervisors, and the roles will be flexible with a mix of day and night shifts.
Bartenders:
The Gig:
- Work with the venue manager and FoH leaders to ensure standards are maintained to meet guest expectations;
- POS operations & outstanding customer service within a dynamic, challenging environment;
- Be the public face of Moo Brew & tell our story;
- Working brewery environment;
- Career development opportunities;
- Work closely with the team in all aspects of bar operations, providing guidance and support;
- Demonstrate high respect and understanding for Work Health & Safety procedures;
- Weekend, evening, and public holiday work will be essential.
The You:
- A love of really great beer;
- Respectful and professional approach to work and working with a team;
- Strong communication skills;
- Understanding of how Moo Brew fits into the MONA family;
- Current RSA and good understanding of RSA best practice;
- Care and competence in maintaining high standards, even when under pressure;
- Cocktail knowledge & development preferred but not essential;
- An understanding of safe work practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Supervisors:
The Gig:
- Collaborate with the venue manager and other FoH leaders to maintain and elevate service standards, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead and mentor the team in delivering outstanding customer service within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Oversee POS operations and ensure efficient workflow across all shifts.
- Be the public face of Moo Brew, sharing its story and passion for great beer.
- Play a key role in day-to-day bar operations, including stock management, training, and problem-solving.
- Promote and uphold Work Health & Safety procedures with diligence and leadership.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive workplace.
- Weekend, evening, and public holiday work will be essential.
The You:
- A love of really great beer (and the ability to inspire others to feel the same!).
- Proven leadership skills with a professional and respectful approach to team management.
- Strong communication abilities, both with the team and guests.
- Familiarity with how Moo Brew fits into the broader MONA family and its values.
- Current RSA and a thorough understanding of RSA best practices.
- A calm, competent demeanor when maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Cocktail knowledge & development preferred but not essential;
- A commitment to safe work practices and creating a safe, inclusive environment for everyone.
